Scope of application of a wireless spectrum analyzer connected to a PC by Wi-Fi:

Full galvanic isolation of measurement circuits and the computer's digital circuits, minimum additional capacity between the measuring and digital ground.

A Wi-Fi-connected spectrum analyzer can be set up on a moving part such as on the shaft of a slowly-rotating turbine or on a car, while the PC is set up at a distance of up to 500 meters (depending on the supplied antenna) on a stationary table.

Measurements over long distances, i.e., when the item being tested is at a distance of 100 m to 10 km in the line of sight of the user's workstation. In this case, the cost of setting up a measurement system is lower because you don't need a cable.
