Multichannel distributed spectrum analyzer

Multichannel distributed spectrum analyzer

A multichannel distributed system is assembled on the basis of a ZET 017-U8 8-channel spectrum analyzer or ZET 017-T8 8-channel strain-gauge station. The analyzers are connected to the computer via Ethernet. The analyzer is also powered by Ethernet. With the optional GPS synchronization, the data from all the spectrum analyzers are tied to world time and processed in a single flow.

Multichannel distributed spectrum analyzerMain advantages of a modular system:

  • The measuring system is as close as possible to the object of measurement, which means you don't need a long cable between the sensor and the analyzer. It also reduces noise, electromagnetic interference and the effect of the PC on the object of measurement.
  • Scalability. You use as many analyzers as you need to solve the problem.
  • Easy configuration. Each analyzer can be configured individually using a laptop with a USB cable, and then the whole system is turned on. When you configure a distributed system from 100 meters to 30 km, a useful feature is the use of a special headset for two users to communicate with each other, one located near the PC and the other near the analyzer.
  • Speed of system configuration. The sensors and microphones that we make are fitted with the TEDS identification system, can be connected to a spectrum analyzer and are automatically queried by the spectrum analyzer. All the relevant information about the sensors — sensitivity, measuring units, serial numbers and names of sensors' is transferred. All the user needs to do is connect the sensor to any available input of the analyzer.
  • Keeps the necessary measuring cable length to a minimum. This greatly reduces the price of the system.
  • Simple power scheme for a distributed system. Uses Power over Ethernet technology. This allows you to power the analyzer via a standard UTP5 twisted-pair cable at a distance of up to 100 meters. For long distances you can use other brands of cable.
  • Cost minimization. One analyzer is purchased at full price. Additional analyzers cost 25% less because there is no need for an additional software license.
