An analog-digital converter (ADC) is a device that converts an input analog signal to a discrete code (digital signal). The inverse transformation is made using a digital-analog converter (DAC). The analog signal in the ADC is converted to a sequence of digital values. Consequently, it is necessary to determine the sampling rate of the digital values from the analog signal. The frequency from which the digital value is produced is referred to as the ADC sample rate.
ADC-DAC boards are connected by a USB 2.0, Ethernet 10/100, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi interface or are installed in the PCI bus of a personal computer. ADC-DAC modules are supplied with drivers and basic ZETLab software. The package also includes programming examples. Thus, the user can create individual signal processing algorithms using ZETLab Studio development tools.
